If you are a business owner, you cannot strive to make your life better (legitimately) and not make someone else’s life better in the process.

Whether you own the grocery store and thereby make it easier for someone to purchase their food; or run the accounting agency and provide a service people need; own the asphalt company that paves the roads, thereby making it safer and easier for people to get where they are going ~ whatever you do… if you are a business owner striving for the pursuit of happiness … you make life better for everyone, including yourself.   Is this greed?  Because if it is, if this is the definition of greed we should not attack the business owners who help all of us in the process.

How to Fix Our Political System

The ONLY way to fix our political system is to make sure you have an electorate that is EDUCATED ON THE ISSUES. Votes must be cast by individuals who UNDERSTAND the CONSEQUENCES of the policies their candidate will pass. Votes should not be cast based on emotion or an American Idol mentality or just because some government ‘fix’ sounds good.  

Instead of a Government ‘of the people, by the people and for the people’.  We have a government made up of lawyers and lobbyists.  Not until regular Jane Smith and John Smith run for office and change the system will the plethora of government regulations and government programs be simplified and eliminated. The electorate must be educated on the issues in order for us to discuss term limits; tort reform; the simple and effective way to correct the health care system; repealing the 16th Amendment and instituting the Fair Tax (just for starters). 

Learn why card check, cap and trade and mandatory health care will HURT and not help the economy.  Learn about the best way to have dynamic schools that excel at teaching our children instead of just teaching them to pass tests. 

It might only take 15 minutes a day to get educated on the issues.  You just have to want to understand how to make a difference.

Politicians should have a two term Limit.

We don’t need government to fix health care.

First you have to peel the onion.  (It would be much easier if we could wave a wand and eliminate the legal profession, but I digress.) 

1)  TORT REFORM

2) Deregulate Insurance – yes; DEREGULATE it.  Let us buy it across state lines so there is competition.  ALSO, take out the 3rd party payment plan for our primary care giver  i.e. – let us make arrangements directly with our primary care doctor to pay them directly a ‘maintenance’ amount for visits so that we could accomplish the next item;

3) Make insurance for catastrophic illness only.  We SHOULD take care of the minor items ourselves.  Think of it this way, you buy catastrophic insurance for your car but you have to pay for the gas, oil changes, flat tires and regular maintenance.

4) Let the RN’s prescribe certain medications and handle some primary care without the doctor.  They are perfectly capable and knowledgeable to a certain level.

Government over-regulated when they required your primary care provider to not do ANY in-house tests; they made it mandatory that those tests be performed by some other lab.

The biggest cost saving mechanism in this entire plan is the first item. Tort reform.  It will drop the costs of medicine as well as malpractice insurance and, actually, the cost of life in general.

Whatever you do, DO NOT LET THE GOVERNMENT NEAR OUR HEALTH CARE SYSTEM!!!  The FREE MARKET is the answer. But that’s just my take on the subject.  Do you have a better idea? Let’s hear it!

The Fear of a Democratic Controlled Congress CAUSED the Housing bubble to burst!

and you thought it was Mortgage backed securities?  It was in 2007 when the capital investors starting pulling their money out of the market because they were scared of where a Democratic controlled Congress AND Presidency maybe might could take us.

And guess what?  They were right…90% taxes on private individuals income; Cap & Trade; Employee Free Choice Act; Nationalized Health Care and now Nationalized banks.

After the Dot-com bubble burst the economy came right back because the capital investors knew it was ‘just’ a bubble.  This time around it is far more insidious.  It’s about a regime that believes in attacking and demonizing capital investors and the essence of capitalism.

Government is NOT the answer…it is the PROBLEM!!!
