Thank you to our Guests and Listening Audience

I ran out of time again last night.  I hope my listeners found the show as interesting as I did thought provoking. Our guests included Nationally syndicated columnist and distinguished George Mason University Professor, Dr. Walter Williams.  We also heard from Ms. Robin Martin, author of the Conservative Black Woman blog.

Former Governer George Allen joined us to discuss the ‘Cap and Tax’ proposal and how it will impact all of us when we pay our utility bills.

We continued the discussion about improving the public education available to our children with Neal McCluskey from the Cato Center for Educational Freedom and heard an update from Berkley Rayfield about the Christian School in Cape Charles.

Jim Hoeft of Bearing Drift gave us an update on the Virginia political races.  And Willie Randall announced that he is running for Supervisor in district 1,  in Northampton County.

Be sure to catch my show on MONDAY NIGHT from 8 pm to 10 pm on Radio For Conservatives at http://www.rfcradio.com!

“Fireworks fly at final Virginia Beach forum”

By JR Hoeft

Published May 11th, 2009

“John Brownlee, Sen. Ken Cuccinelli, and Dave Foster gathered together one final time in Hampton Roads to make their case as to why they should be Virginia’s next Republican candidate for Attorney General. At a gathering of the Republican Party of Virginia Beach, what started as a relatively collegial and benign policy debate turned into something so much more interesting towards the end.”

comment by melody scalley:  If you are a delegate trying to decide where your vote will go in the AG race; I suggest you listen to this audio.

If you are not familiar enough with the candidates to be able to recognize the voices, let me assure you that of these three candidates, Senator Cuccinelli comes out against big government in a clear stand.

Senator Cuccinelli did not even flinch at the Virginia Beach rail question.  “Republican Lite just does not work and is the reason why we are in the minority now across the board…”

He is not afraid to exercise his independent vote, that is what he was elected for; “to stand up and say that’s wrong”.

Why Do Americans of African Descent Overwhelmingly Support Democrats?

This week guests will try to answer the question, “Why do Americans of African descent overwhelming tend to support Democratic candidates whose policies ultimately undermine their moral values and economic advancement?”.

This is one of the best articles I’ve come across on the issue: Why Is the Black Vote in the Democrats’ Pocket?

Our guests will include Nationally syndicated columnist and distinguished George Mason University Professor, Dr. Walter Williams.  We’ll also hear from Ms. Robin Martin, author of the Conservative Black Woman blog; (Mr. Coby Dillard from the African Americans for McDonnell coalition will not be able to join us.)  But we will hear from Ron Miller a MD Senate candidate.   We’ll also chat with Frances Rice, a retired Army Lieutenant Colonel, a lawyer and chairman of the National Black Republican Association.

Former Governer George Allen will join us to discuss the ‘Cap and Tax’ proposal and how it could impact all of us when we pay our utility bills.

Mark McKinnon, will join us to discuss the possible changes to the Employee Free Choice Act.

We’ll talk further about improving the public education available to our children with Neal McCluskey from the Cato Center for Educational Freedom.

Jim Hoeft of Bearing Drift will give us an update on the Virginia political races.  And we’ll answer the question, “Who is running for Supervisor in districts 1, 2, and 3 in Northampton County?”.

Show Line Up for April 9, 2009

We’ll start the evening with U.S. Congressman Louie Gohmert (TX-01).

Accomack residents, will you be ready to make an informed decision on the PSA hearing scheduled for April 22? This authority has sweeping powers to create debt, and charge fees. There’s controversy surrounding the issue. We’ve invited county administrator Steve Minor and also John Schneider — long time Accomack resident and land planner to discuss it.

Former Congresswoman Thelma Drake will join us again to discuss her views on women voters and other issues.

The race for Governor is on! This week we’ll hear from Brian Moran one of three democratic candidates and then Bob McDonnell will have a few words on Card Check.

Forget red, white, and blue: America is going green!  You thought Northampton County Zoning was bad? Steven Milloy author of “Green Hell: How Environmentalists Plan to Ruin Your Life and What You Can Do to Stop Them”, joins us to explain how the Green movement will ultimately allow the Government to micro-regulate everything you do. At least Northampton county residents will already be used to that!

Daniel Kish the Senior Vice President for  Policy at the Institute for Energy Research will try to help us understand the effects of Cap & Trade.

Political blogger and podcaster Jim Hoeft of Bearing Drift will be on deck to talk about Virginia politics.  Bobby Eberle of GOPUSA.com and Andrew Langer of Institute for Liberty will have a few words for us.  Roger Stone will be on hand to discuss his view on Michael Steele’s RNC chairmanship; and Sol Erdman will have a few words about fixing our broken political system.  We’re still asking if our county residents are ready for an April 15 Tea party on the town green.

Michael Steele and Mark Levin were busy this week.

Yes, we usually run out of time . . .  Join us Thursday starting at 6 PM, now streaming live on the internet during the show.

Take off those rose colored glasses. . .

“Just because you do not take an interest in politics doesn’t mean politics won’t take an interest in you.” — Pericles (430 B.C.)

Help bring prosperity back to the U.S.A.!

Folks there a few very basic ways we can save this great country and it won't take another failed bailout! Corporations that have taken jobs oversees will come back in droves; you will take home your entire paycheck without deductions and the GDP of this country not only recover but be better than it it ever was! How? Just let your representatives and delegates know that you want them to pass the FairTax see http://www.fairtax.org for more info. Second, we really need to pass Tort Reform. There is a growing movement and many reasons for this. I'll have to expand on that later. Last, for now anyway, we can correct the shortfall in Health insurance in this country easily without turning it over to the government ~ as we all know anything the government tries to do they DO WRONG! but alas, more on this later too ;)
